We are not sure if God will continue to grow our family in number, however we continue to grow in love and our roots deepen and take hold. My prayer for my family is that we deepen our love for the lord as we travel this journey to discover God's purpose for each of our lives. We surrender ourselves and may we always be open to the plans He has for us.


For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Mastering the Martial Arts

Just over one year ago Dominic and Dio joined the Spirited Defense, The Way Shotokan Karate at our church.  Their Sensei's first priority is in the keeping of the Word of God.   We are not looking for our boys to become martial arts experts, but in hearing the Truth shared, and to build them up emotionally and spiritually to one day boldly share the Truth with others.  There are a lot of "tough" kids out there who have no relationship with their Creator...Oh how God could use the people in this class.   Dominic and Dio are Green Belt Black Stripes.  They are up for promotion on Aug 28 for Purple Belt.  Should they choose to continue, after this is Brown Belt and then Black Belt.

About one month ago Big Dom joined their class.  He is a White Belt but is up for promotion also for Green Belt.  It is so nice to see them practicing their forms all together.  As part of our homeschool the boys practice their forms every day.

Recently they have been taught Bo Kata, and I took some pictures last week during their practice outside:
