We are not sure if God will continue to grow our family in number, however we continue to grow in love and our roots deepen and take hold. My prayer for my family is that we deepen our love for the lord as we travel this journey to discover God's purpose for each of our lives. We surrender ourselves and may we always be open to the plans He has for us.


For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. A Family Afternoon at the Nutcracker


Well, it took Mommy 44 years to see the Nutcracker Ballet, and it only took you kiddos as old as you are now (8, 6,4 and 3).  Our homeschool group organized a trip to the student showing of the Nutcracker on Dec 21.  It was a free show, and only one Act was performed.  This year was Act II (next year will be Act I, and they take turns every year).  Act II is Land of Sweets, and it was nothing short of magical!  The director of the Nutcracker came out in the beginning to introduce the show and talk about how he as a little boy of 5 saw the Nutcracker for the very first time, and he then knew that he wanted to be part of the Nutcracker one day.  Then the artistic director came out with some of the cast and talked about how the ballerinas practice every day, and then they demonstrated some of the ballet steps.  It was very special.  Donatella and Maria were glued to the performance....you were litterally transported to a magical place and time.   At the very end when Clara sails away in her ship, my eyes filled with tears it was so awesome...I didn't want it to end!  What made it even extra special was that Daddy came too!
